He’s a clear upgrade to the bottom of the roster which is the worst part of this team, so he’s a yes from me.

Does Comeau still have wheels?

I liked him when he was with the Pens, he brought 100% every shift.

He actually has played very well this season. If they dont get at least a 3rd rounder for him ina trade....Ill be disappointed

$2.5M ... Right winger .... not a good match for what we need imo.

2.4m

But avs will retain half for sure, Joe hinted at moving out expiring contracts, wont be buyers and wont let some success skew their plans

At the rate you guys are going, I don’t see you selling off anyone, although I think you’re better off bottom feeding one more year.

I was remembering him as LW for whatever reason, but yeah, A RW who cant play LW shouldn't be on the wish list for GMJR

1.2 hit is doable...but the need for RW isnt really there. I was thinking he was LW.

Plays both wings and NHL.com has him listed at LW.

I liked him the year he was here. More of a 3rd liner but he fits what they've been trying to do in getting a little bigger and more physical while still playing fast. Had nice chemistry with Geno: knew where to go and had a nice shot.

I'd like to aim higher, but he'd be a solid pick up at an affordable price.

Comeau and Barberio will be shipped out is my guess. Yakupov could as well, dont think he has a long term future there despite loooking like an NHLer this year

they will promote Greer full time to replace comeau, and probably Mironov on D to replace barberio

Other than that, they wont make a trade. Hammond might go as long as Varly is able to come back healthy and stay helathy prior to deadline

Well if we can plug him at C, I'm definitely interested! He's not a game changer, but a useful bottom 6 guy.

Wouldn't count on it, but I'd try him with Malkin. He was his best wing that year (we were really bad at wing) but always thought if he could have been the 3rd wheel guy who did the dirty work with a skilled wing on the other side it would have been a nice fit for Geno. By fit I mean like Dupuis was with Crosby even though he wasn't really a top 6.

Jokinen ? Maybe 4 years ago but not now. Why bring in a guy that has fewer goals than Reaves ?

What lineup looks better?

Simon-Crosby-Sprong
Hagelin-Malkin-Hornqvist
Sheary-Guentzel-Kessel
Kuhnhackl-Sheahan-Rust (Rust-Sheahan-Reaves)

Or

Guentzel-Crosby-Sprong
Hagelin-Malkin-Kessel
Sheary-Sheahan-Hornqvist
Simon-Jokinen-Rust

Personally, I like the second on a lot better. Yes to Jussi.

Because his team generates more shot attempts than they allow when he is on the ice, which means he's a really good player, apparently. Sure, he may not be the one generating the shot attempts, sure they may not be anywhere near the net, sure they may not be from high danger areas, and sure they're not actually going into the net...But come on, we all know that shot attempt differences while on the ice are the only way to measure a player's worth.
